I’m happy to report that the children seem to be settling into their classroom routines very nicely! Already, the staff and I have become connected to the little ones in our care. Thank you for sharing them with us! Now is also the time that we ask that you say good-bye to the children at the double doors and let them walk back on their own. Our assistants will be there to help with this transition.
This week we will begin our Stay and Play program that is from 12:00p – 1:30p. Stay and Play is a special offering that you sign up for on the day that you would like your child to stay for a little extra time. This program is offered on Tuesday and Wednesday to the first 10 children who sign up to stay. Cost is $7.00 per stay. This fee will be billed to your invoice. Sign up sheet will be on the cart by the windows of the Busy Bee Classroom. Label your child’s lunch box clearly and place it on the cart. Because many of our staff are with their classes until 1:30pm we have limited the children who can participate in Stay and Play to Busy Bees who are potty trained, Ladybugs, Blue Horses, and Yellow Ducks. Those children in the Red Bird and Goldfish class have the option of switching to the extended day option for their children.
Church Fellowship dinner is on Wednesday night from 5:45p – 6:30p. Classes follow for all members of the family. Take the night off from cooking and join us!
Thursday will be our first Staff Meeting of the School Year. All Classes will dismiss at 12:00pm so that teachers can participate in an important staff development opportunity with our Smart Beginnings Mentor, Gin Staylor.
