Special Events

We love to have a variety of events that involve the whole family in their child’s preschool experience

Preschool Sunday – April 29th

Join our current preschool families and our new families on April 29th for worship and an Open House.  Worship begins at 9:00am.  The preschool students who have been learning new songs with Miss Angie will perform.  Staff will be recognized and the children will receive books from the Welcome and Care Committee.  After the service, there will be a reception in honor of the Preschool and an Open House to visit the preschool classrooms and meet the staff. There will also be an Art Show & Silent Auction.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

In Memory of Louie Vanderslice

  • Tuesday, May 1, 2018
  • Noon – 5:00 p.m.
  • St. Andrew Hall

St. Andrew Preschool is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive at St. Andrew in memory of Louie Vanderslice.

Louis “Louie” Vanderslice, was diagnosed on May 1, 2015 with TCell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, just days after his second birthday. He received treatment at Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters and was finally able to reach remission in July 2015. Following months of chemotherapy and an extensive rehabilitation program, after 18 long months of treatment, Louie’s cancer relapsed in October 2016. Sadly Louie traded his superhero cape for angel  wings on March 7, 2017. You can read in detail about Louie’s journey on the Facebook “TeamSlice432” page.

Blood is needed for many different kinds of patients: a young child with a rare blood disorder, a family member fighting cancer, or a friend involved in a car accident. Please consider donating at this special blood drive and/or volunteering your time.

You may schedule your appointment to give blood using one of these easy methods.

  2. If you need help scheduling an appointment online, see Carol Carnegie, Director
  3. You may also call the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767 and mention the code StAndrew

For questions or to sign up to volunteer at the blood drive, please contact Carol Carnegie at standrewdirector@gmail.com or 757-714-2211.
