I hope this note finds you in the joyful excitement of the advent season!  The teachers have been busy transforming their classrooms and bulletin boards and I hope you have had an opportunity to see their handy work.
If your child attended story night on Thursday, I want to extend a hardy thank you for sharing them with us.  I believe we all had a lovely time, and I hope you did too.  There will be another story night in February.
This Tuesday, Pastor Curran will be leading our chapel service at 9:15am.  Pastor Curran regularly has an average of 30 children on the church steps for the Children’s message on Sundays.  He is also the father of 4 boys and grandfather to Zooey.   It has been wonderful to see more and more parents join us for this time of fellowship.  I encourage you to take this opportunity to hear a special telling of the Nativity Story.
Mrs. Hendrickson and I will be away from the building on Tuesday from 10:00am – 12:00pm as we will be attending the Scholastic Warehouse sale at the Hampton Convention Center. We will be stocking our shelves with quality hardcover books and resources that support our weekly themes.  We have over $700 to spend because of our successful bookfair!  Margee Rader, a member of our church will be assisting Mrs. Hare in the Blue Horse Classroom.
Wednesday, Gin Staylor will be observing our classrooms. Gin  Staylor is a founding member of the Early Childhood Development Commission and served for five years as the first  Chairperson. She was the Director at Growing up at Obici and developed the  Child Development Center. She also developed the program for NSA Early School,  and has teaching experience with the preschool and first grade populations. She is our Virginia Star Quality Initiative Mentor who provides us with vital feedback about making your St. Andrew Preschool the absolute best place that it can be for your child.
Our Christmas Program on December 20th is sounding wonderful!  Ms. Angie has a very ambitions program planned that will surely be a treat.  This year Homeworks will not be videotaping the program.  During the program we request that you are very respectful of those around you.
Blessings to you all,
Rhonda Endrusick, Director
