April 2013
Could it be that Spring has finally Sprung?! I wanted to send you an email with some of the events that will be coming up in April.
Tomorrow is our whole school Chapel.  All Classes come to the sanctuary at 9:15am to learn about a story from the bible.  We begin with singing songs and continue with lessons from our puppet friends.  Ms. Angie then shares a video that shows the children the story that is being learned. All are welcome to join us.
There will be a Carnival Committee meeting in the Atrium on April 10th at 9:15am.  All are invited to help in the planning of this annual year end event.  The carnival will be on May 23rd so, there is plenty of time to plan the days activities.  The Teeny Tiny Farm will be joining us with their wonderful petting zoo of miniature animals.
On April 17th and 18th the children will have their Spring Pictures taken.  These beautiful keepsakes will include an outdoor shot of your child, an outdoor shot of the entire class together, and for the PreKindergarten students, a cap and gown picture.  Information about packages and pricing will be available shortly.
April 18th will be an early release day for prekindergarten students who usually stay until noon.  The staff will be participating in staff development beginning at 12:15pm.
Safety Week will be April 22nd – April 25th.  The Suffolk Libararians will be sharing stories related to this theme.  Parent Group will learn about “Kid Codes”  and other important tips to help your children identify “Don’t Knows” and “Kind of knows.” The Sheriff Deptartment will be invited to prepare Child ID kits.
